August 2020 - welcome back
It is so lovely to be welcoming guests back to our holiday apartments again after weeks of watching every news bulletin wondering when we could open again. We were so grateful to have a few days before the season started to get everything ready – we had to remove the huge buddleia bush as it was destroying our neighbour’s wall and now the view is even clearer! Our next project is to work with the allotments opposite to manage the trees and hedge as the birds have finished nesting for the year. Our friends came for a few days to help out and made a massive impression on the garden, so everything looks really tidy and with luck we will have the weather to enjoy it.
I’m really grateful for Jane and Mike for implementing our new cleaning plans. I am accredited now by Visit Wales and the AA Covid Confident scheme, each has demanding protocols and we have worked hard with Jane, Mike and their health and safety adviser to get everything in place. Visit the Vale posted about Crow’s Nest this morning and that was a great start to the week.
One of the benefits of lockdown is that I have had time to do some of the training offered by Superfast Business Wales on social media, website management and marketing. So grateful for this, and to Leon for reviewing my website and giving me so many helpful recommendations and advice, especially the one about writing a blog!
As with most self catering properties in the UK we are fully booked for August and early September. There is some availability for the autumn so do get in touch if you would like a seaside break.
Happy Holidays!
